Lulu Restaurant, since 2024

Lulu: the name of the Alban Berg opera which had its première at the Zurich Opera House in 1937. Reason enough then to give the adjacent restaurant the same name. And Lulu has a liking for all things light, fun-loving and delicious.

The delightful terrace, located alongside the beautiful opera house and overlooking the fabulous Sechseläutenplatz, provides a stunning backdrop to magical summer evenings. Inside, a well-stocked bar and stylish restaurant serve up culinary excellence to accompany the unforgettable performances on stage.

The establishment includes a café on the ground floor, a cafeteria for the performing artists and refreshments for opera-goers and ballet-lovers during intermissions. Catering for audiences at the Bernhard Theatre is also a key part of the restaurant’s business.

Menu

The culinary delights have a distinctly French-Mediterranean character – the ideal accompaniment to the charming atmosphere surrounding each opera or ballet production. The restaurant’s name and the opera Lulu are reminiscent of the love, emotion and drama which only the South can ignite with such intensity.
