Manager and Assistant Manager
To run a restaurant you have to have a feel for it
As a manager of one of our restaurants, you assume overall responsibility for business operations. In addition to restaurant expertise, you also have to have a feel for the business. After all, you are the heart and soul of the restaurant. This is something that should be immediately evident when you lead by example, serving guests and ensuring that their needs are always met. They will happily return because of the personalized service they receive here: how they are welcomed, promptly served throughout their meal and leave after their lunch or dinner with a smile on their faces. All of this is, of course, also the case for banquets and events. Sure, in addition to putting your heart and soul into the job you also need a head for numbers. It will come in handy for daily accounting, monthly financial statements, capacity planning, price calculation, employee work schedules, monitoring time tracking or for programming our ingenious “helloTESS!” cash register system as well as for other administrative tasks.
Those who manage one of our restaurants also lead a diverse team of people who rely on them and make up a dedicated community. Which means you are also responsible for all the recruiting, job interviews, team discussions and for ensuring that the onboarding process for new employees runs smoothly. You are the leader and boss. You love the restaurant like your own child and take full responsibility for it. You see where strengths can be promoted and weaknesses overcome. You can always rely on the help of our office and your assistant manager. So, as you see, the only way is up.
Why it’s fun to work with us
Working with us means being part of a tight-knit group, a family. Our success comes down to the fact that we all take great joy in restaurant work. Which is also why we can afford above-average remuneration for our employees. We take care of each other. And if you don’t yet have a place to stay nearby when you start, you can stay with us at the Fischer’s Fritz campground directly on the lake in Zurich Wollishofen. All you have to bring is a tent.
What we are looking for
Sure, a degree in hotel management always helps. But we are also always open to upcoming leaders from other fields who simply have a lot of interest in restaurants.
What is important to us
A confident leadership style in your management tasks. You run your team fairly and are consistent in sticking to and achieving goals. You lead a group of people who are just as crazy about the restaurant excellence as yourself, and you give your heart and soul for the best job in the world.
